COVID-19 cases soar

COVID-19 reaches 304,226

MANILA – The government acknowledged and confirmed an additional 2,995 new cases of COVID-19 as the country’s total breached the 300,000 mark. As of 4:00 P.M. today, the government said there are now 304,226 cases.

The Department of Health said 19,630 recovered as they implemented the weekly “mass recovery” thereby reached 252,510 recoveries. The Philippines has a total of 46,372 active cases.

There were 60 deaths reported to have been caused by COVID-19. The death toll has reached 5,344 as of today.

The National Capital Region stil topped the list with 1,065 cases. (Melo M. Acuña)
