Religious gatherings now allowed up to 50% of seating capacity
MANILA – From Monday, February 15th, religious gatherings in General Community Quarantine (GCQ) areas will be allowed up to 50% of seating capacity as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) relaxed restrictions for religious activities during its meeting yesterday, February 11.
The IATF, according to a statement from Malacanang disclosed that driving schools, traditional cinemas, video and interactive-game arcades, libraries, archives, museums and cultural centers will be allowed to reopen. Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions will also be allowed and limited social events at accredited establishments of the Department of Tourism.
The IATF also approved the reopening of limited tourist attractions including parks, theme parks, natural sites ad historical landmarks.
All these will be subject to the issuance of the implementing guidelines which will provide for the operational capacity, and oversight of the appropriate regulatory agency and concerned local government units where these business or industries are situated.
They are expected to strictly comply with the strict observance of minimum public health requirements from the Department of Health. (Melo M. Acuña)
