Over 300 Filipino seafarers now in the Philippines
MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs reported the arrival of 311 Filipinos aboard the MV Diamond Princess Cruise ship arrived safely on board a special PAL flight. Two officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and four medical personnel from the Department of Health accompanied the crewmembers whose flight was delayed by a couple of days.
According to the DFA statement, the first batch of MV Diamond Princess repatriates are expected to land in Clark International Airport anytime this evening.
The second flight is expected to bring home 140 Filipinos of the remaining crew members of the MV Diamond Princess Cruise ship. (Melo M. Acuña)
