Most missing seafarers found with minor injuries

Ten of 11 earlier reported missing seafarers found

MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs reported ten of the 11 earlier reported missing seafarers were found safe but suffered minor injuries and are now being attended by the shipping company Aby Merhi Cruises at Ain el Mraiseh, Beirut. The company operates Orient Queen Cruises.

As of 8:00 P.M. Wednesday only one seafarer has remained unaccounted for. However, there was no update about the reported missing female domestic worker.

The Philippine Embassy in Beirut will continue to establish the conditions of the seafarers and other Filipinos reported to have required hospital care.

The DFA said all its Embassy personnel are safe with no reported physical damage to its premises.
