Police Lt. General Cascolan takes over PNP helm

PNP Chief Gamboa’s successor named

MANILA – Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque said Police Lt. General Camilo Pancratius P. Cascolan has been appointed by President Rodrigo Dutere to replace retiring PNP chief Police General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa effective tomorrow.

Lt. General Cascolan is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1986. The incoming chief of the 209,000-strong police force has been assigned to different areas in the country in different capacities.

He has a Master’s Degree in Public Management from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas in 1995.

“We are confident that the incoming Chief of the Philippine National Police would continue the significant strides made by his predecessors in making the PNP a professional organization worthy of our people’s trust,” Secretary Roque added. (Melo M. Acuña)
