Second Filipino confirmed with COVID-19 in UAE
Philippine Embassy confirms second Filipino COVID-19 positive
MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs, quoting a report from the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi said a second Filipino has been confirmed positive with CPVID-19.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention said with the recent findings, the total of COVID-19 infected persons in the UAE has reached to 11.
However, the same report disclosed the 34-year-old Filipino who remained unidentified, has remained in stable condition.
The Embassy, according to the DFA, maintains close coordination with the UAE authorities, “assuring that our compatriot is being given maximum care and support.” The first Filipino afflicted with COVID-19, a 43-year-old individual, was transferred to another medical facility and now closely monitored as his condition has not improved.
The identities of the two Filipinos have not been disclosed. (Melo M. Acuña)
