Foreign Secretary Locsin to meet with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi
MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Foreign Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Je. left Manila for Beijing to meet with State Councilor Wang Yi in an official visit to China from today until Sunday, October 11,2020.
This is the first official trip overseas since February this year.
According to the DFA statement, Secretary Locsin and State Councilor Wang Yi to hold a bilateral meeting to discuss the advancement of Philippines-China cooperation and the revitalization of engagement across different fronts under the “new normal.” They are expected to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.
