Top-level meeting held on medical practitioners’ call for ECQ
MANILA – A top-level meeting was convened by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea to address the issues raised by the country’s medical practitioners.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Budget and Management Secretary Wendel Avisado, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Michael Ong and Presidential Assistant for Foreign Affairs Robert Borje. The presidential spokesperson was also in attendance.
National Task Force Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez, NTF Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon, and One Hospital Command Chief Leopoldo Vega were also in attendance. Senate Committee on Health chair Christopher Lawrence Go was also in attendance.
Early in the afternoon, Secretaries Duque, Lorenzana, Lopez, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles and other senior government officials met with the leaders of the Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Nurses Association and the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists to discuss the concerns submitted in a letter to President Duterte.
