More fatalities in C-130H crash reported
MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) disclosed 42 military personnel, three Patikul residents died in the fatal plane crash at about midday today.
Five military personnel are still unaccounted as of this writing.
In a statement released Sunday evening, the AFP said 49 military personnel, along with four civilians residing near the crash site are undergoing treatment for the injuries and burns they suffered.
Military assets evacuated to Zamboanga City for further treatment while 17 others are currently confined at the 11th Infantry Division hospital in Sulu.
Retrieval operations are still going on as of 9:00 P.M., Sunday. (Melo M. Acuña)
