China suspends entry by non-Chinese nationals in the Philippines with valid visas or residence permits
MANILA – The Chinese Embassy in Manila said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese government decided to temporarily suspend entry into China by non-Chinese nationals in the Philippines holding visas or residence permits still valid at the time of this announcement.
“The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the Philippines will no longer issue Certified Health Declaration Form for the above-mentioned personnel,” said the Chinese Embassy statement.
However, diplomatic visa holders, service, courtesy or C visas will not be affected. Foreign nationals visiting China for emergency needs may apply for visas at Chinese embassy or Consulates, according to the Advisory.
“Entry by non-Chinese nationals in the Philippines with visas issued after November 3,2020 will not be affected,” the statement revealed.
It explained the temporary suspension was in response by the current situation of COVId-19.
“The above-mentioned measures will be assessed in accordance with the evolving situation and any adjustment will be announced accordingly,” the Advisory concluded. (Melo M. Acuña)
