Eight more remains identified a week after the fatal crash
MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines has identified eight more remains from the C-130 mishap a week ago.
In a statement, the AFP said they have now identified 28 of the remains. The remains were identified belonging to PFC Carlos D. Dapanas, Jr., PFC Ketch Kane S. Alegarme, PFC Marchi E. Bonzales, PFC Philip Dante T. Camilosa, Cpl. Jay-ar V. Obenita, Privates Archie S. Barba and Carlos Jhun C. Paragua, Jr. and Tgt. Nelson B. Hadjiri, all of the Philippine Army.
The next of kin of those identified victims have already been officially informed. Air and land transportation are being arranged by the AFP to bring the remains of the soldiers to their respective families.
In their statement released early Sunday evening, the AFP said they will continue to identify the remaining victims and coordinate with the PNP SOCO in order to ensure they are promptly brought to their immediate families. (Melo M. Acuña)
