NCR and Laguna, under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine
MANILA – The National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved today to subject the National Capital Region and Laguna Province under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) beginning Saturday, August 21 until Tuesday, August 31,2021.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the IATF also approved to place Bataan Province under MECQ from Monday, August 23 to Tuesday, August 31,2021.
The latest classifications are without prejudice to strict implementation of granular lockdowns.
Local government units in these areas are directed to improve their vaccination rates, Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategies, and observance and compliance with Minimum Public Health Standards.
Indoor and al-fresco dine-in services, and personal care services including beauty salons, beauty parlors, barbershops and nail spas shall not be allowed in the NCR, Laguna and Bataan.
Religious gatherings will remain virtual in the NCR, Bataan and Laguna. These protocols shall be observed in the three areas within the dates mentioned under MECQ. (Melo M. Acuña)
